Homunculus (Omnibus) Vol. 9-10
About
The homunculi have vanished — all but one. A mysterious woman whose face shifts constantly refuses to leave Nakoshi alone, and her instability mirrors his own accelerating disintegration. In a desperate attempt to find answers, Nakoshi performs trepanation on himself. The final volumes of Yamamoto's horror epic push past the supernatural into something rawer: a confrontation between a man and the thing he's been avoiding since the first page. The conclusion of Homunculus delivers on the series' darkest promise — that seeing the truth about others inevitably means seeing the truth about yourself. Yamamoto refuses the comfort of resolution, offering instead something more honest and more devastating. The end of a journey into the human psyche that proves the last monster you face is always the one in the mirror.
